Impact of Cyp2c19 Allele 17 Mutase on Clopidogrel Hyper-Responsiveness in Indonesian Patients with Ischemic Stroke

چکیده
BACKGROUND: Ischemic stroke dominated up to 76% of the 101.5 million cases globally. One treatments for is secondary prevention by administering antiplatelet. Clopidogrel an add-on antiplatelet dual therapy (DAPT) regimen. In its metabolism, clopidogrel can show nature resistance and bleeding risk. Studies on have been widely put forward but not with bleeding. The study risk Asian races focused only East races. AIM: objective determine in Indonesian population correlation polymorphism CYP2C19 allele 17. METHODS: There were 112 participants this study. About 45.5% showed a normal response clopidogrel, 40.2% had All (100.0%) mutations 17, 47.3% being intermediate metabolizers. RESULTS: was significantly correlated (p: 0.02). has high from administration. CONCLUSION: Compared DAPT administration, be monotherapy prevention.

Pharmacogenetics of CYP2C19 genetic polymorphism on clopidogrel response in patients with ischemic stroke from Saudi Arabia
OBJECTIVE To elucidate the degree of genetic polymorphisms CYP2C19 (CYP2C19*2, CYP2C19*3) of key drug metabolizing enzymes on the antiplatelet effect of clopidogrel response in patients with acute ischemic stroke from Saudi Arabia. METHODS A case-control study carried out at Neurology Clinics at Asser Central Hospital, Abha, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from October 2015 to January 2016 and includ...
متن کاملImpact of Glycemic Control on Efficacy of Clopidogrel in Transient Ischemic Attack or Minor Stroke Patients With CYP2C19 Genetic Variants.
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Dysglycemia may influence the predictive value of CYP2C19 loss-of-function allele for clinical efficacy of antiplatelet drug, but the role of glycated albumin (GA) remains unclear in patients with stroke on antiplatelet drugs. METHODS The CHANCE trial (Clopidogrel in High-Risk Patients With Acute Nondisabling Cerebrovascular Events) included 2933 patients who had GA lev...
متن کاملDecreased platelet responsiveness to clopidogrel correlates with CYP2C19 and PON1 polymorphisms in atherosclerotic patients
Clopidogrel and aspirin are the most commonly used medications worldwide for dual antiplatelet therapy after percutaneous coronary intervention. However, clopidogrel hyporesponsiveness related to gene polymorphisms is a concern. Populations with higher degrees of genetic admixture may have increased prevalence of clopidogrel hyporesponsiveness. To assess this, we genotyped CYP2C19, ABCB1, and P...
متن کاملCYP2C19 polymorphisms and antiplatelet effects of clopidogrel in acute ischemic stroke in China.
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Little research regarding genotypes and clopidogrel response related to acute ischemic stroke has been published. This study was conducted to investigate whether the polymorphisms of receptors or enzymes involved in the metabolic process of clopidogrel affect clopidogrel response and prognosis related to acute stroke. METHODS A total of 259 patients with acute ischemic ...
متن کاملGenotype and allele frequency of CYP2C19*17 in a healthy Iranian population
Background: Cytochrome P450 2C19 (CYP2C19) is important in metabolism of wide range of drugs. CYP2C19*17 is a novel variant allele which increases gene transcription and therefore results in ultra-rapid metabolizer phenotype (URM). Distribution of this variant allele has not been well studied worldwide. The aim of present study was to investigate allele and genotype frequencies of CYP2C19*17 ...
